Georgian Tourism Association had honor to participate in the prestigious Wine & Travel Week #WTW2026 hosted in Porto, Portugal during February 22–25, 2026, This high-profile, premium-level event brought together a distinguished audience of industry leaders, wine tourism experts, and international media, with a strong focus on the VIP and luxury travel segment. It provided an exceptional platform to present Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage — a legacy that positions the country among the world’s most authentic and refined wine destinations. Georgia’s outstanding wine tourism potential was showcased by leading Georgian travel companies.On behalf of the Georgian Tourism Association sincere gratitude for the wonderful opportunity to participate, representing Georgia, in the Porto Wine & Travel Week and the Madeira Island pre-tour.

At the London office of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, a meeting was attended by Teona Nemsitsveridze- head of standards Committee and Madona Megrelishvili General Manager of ibis Tbilisi Airport. During the meeting, cooperation opportunities across Georgia were discussed - particularly the integration of ESG principles, the strengthening of sustainable standards within the hospitality sector, and the sharing of international best practices, in collaboration with the Georgian Tourism Association -GTA, საქართველოს ტურიზმის ასოციაცია Such international cooperation is essential for positioning Georgia not only as a growing destination, but as a responsible and competitive tourism market. GTA continues to actively engage in international dialogue and is working on concrete next steps toward sustainable development.
