NEWKAZ company offers an interesting and adventurous guide school training course. The 2 months course is designed for Culture Guides, but also is a valuable basis for high-qualified Mountain/Trekking Guides or an additional qualification for existing Guides, who have already some experience and want to improve in specific fields. (ecotourism, architecture, extreme sports, etc). The Guide school is supported by the Department of Tourism and Resorts (DoTR) of Georgia. The trainers are selected from academic institutions and experienced tourism companies, enabling a vital mix of theory and practice and facilitate a contact with potential future employers. Valid Certificates are issued upon completion.

Seminars:
- Tour planning (details, relevant questions), Tour Logistics;
- General information on tourism & tourism development;
- Georgian history;
- Quality Service Management;
- Intercultural Communication, Psychology;
- Time planning, animation and activities;
- Foreign language (additional practical lessons are given for English, Japanese, Russian, German, Italian and French language speakers);

Experienced tourism specialists from professional Georgian tour companies and tourism associations give additional trainings in English language.

Study tours: Weekly practical tours to important sights of Georgia are made.

First Aid Training is also considered (necessary issue for guides).

NEWKAZ has already accomplished one short-time project, in which 60 young travel guides, were prepared by the request of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Georgia. In result, successful participants became employed at various tour companies and tourism development institutions, as well as at Department of Tourism and Resorts.

The second, 2-months training (evening classes on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, excursions on Sundays) with 20 participants is under way.

Participation Fee: 400 Gel.
Duration: 2 months
